Yandle/Suter/Keith- these are not the type of defensemen we need. We have enough puck movers with more on the way. I don't see a defensemen traded to Pittsburgh that isn't a physical one. Give me Scuderi back or one or two others of his ilk. |

I'm a Nordiques fan and I don't like Yandle since he naver wanted to play for a Québec based team in the LHJMQ, so I'm really thrilled with this rumor! Staal would be our 1 center with the Nordiques and we have plenty of defensemen so we can trade away Yandle.
And to the moron who'se mentionning OEL, SHUT UP he's not going to leave the franchise, he's our best defenseman for the future and will be a top 10 dman in the NHL soon. |

From what I hear they can now. Its more of a common courtesy/ unwritten rule of GM's to not do it until the cup finals are over. |

as soon as they are out of the playoffs, such as the vokoun trade
and technically there is no "deadline" as you can still trade after the deadline but that player cant play in the playoffs which is a reason why you never see trades after the deadline |

I'd say Yandle > Staal since I see Yandle as a #1 d-man in this league and Staal as more of a very good #2 Center. |

I have seen nothing to indicate that Staal is anything better than a third line forward. Yandle in my opinion is a top 20 dman. The prospect Pittsburg gives up better be 2 first round picks for this to balance. |
